You need to apply to participate in projects within the scope of the European Union. Unfortunately, most people cannot participate in these programmes because they are not well prepared in this application process.
In this article, I will talk about the Things to Consider in ESC Application In Erasmus + Projects, it will be of great benefit to you to use the European Solidarity Programme (ADP) with its old name – with its new name (ESC) programme.
Before applying for the programme, you should first research and examine everything about the European Solidarity Corps ( ESC) , now known as the Euroepan Solidarity Corps . Click here for detailed information about the programme.
1. Explore project details:
Foremost you should choose a project that aligns with your passions and ambitions. That’s why you should dive into the details of the project you’re eyeing. However, always be careful before diving into the application process, you should ensure you fulfill the eligibility criteria. Check the age requirements and any specific qualifications for the activity you’re interested in.
2. Prepare CV:

The CV format you need to prepare to apply for Erasmus+ projects should be in Europass
style. You can easily prepare a CV by clicking here. In that stage, since the host organization will review your CV you should prepare it in English and download it in PDF format before sending it. And, I advise you to add a photo of you smiling which is natural and reflects you. In that part, you can emphasize the relevant skills, experiences, and qualifications that make you a strong candidate. If the activity requires language skills in the host country you can also highlight your language proficiency in that part.
3. Craft your Motivation Letter:
A motivation letter is one of the most important parts you should consider while applying to ESC projects. A motivation letter should explain why you want to participate in the project, it also should reflect our motivation for the project.
- The most important point here! Do not send the same motivation letter to every project. Because each project has a different subject and content.
- However, you can divide the motivation letter into 2 parts. The first part should be fixed, not to be changed.
- The second part should be changeable and it must be changed when required according to the country, the project, and the theme.
- Clearly outline what you hope to learn and achieve through the ESC experience.
- Showcase your cultural sensitivity and willingness to collaborate with diverse communities. It is also good to share experiences that highlight your ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
Sending application materials:
After preparing all necessary documents such as a CV, Motivation Letter, and any additional materials required by the hosting organization you can send this application material by using mail. There are a couple of important pieces of information;
• Make sure it contains your e-mail address, name, and surname. It’s easier to find that way.
• Mail subject heading “EVS application + Project name or code”
• Give a brief explanation of why you sent the mail. Be sure to tell them which project you are applying for.
Remember that in the ESC application process, your sincerity, dedication, and alignment with the project’s objectives play a crucial role. Your application is the first step toward embracing this opportunity, so make it count. I hope you will go to the project and country you dreamed of. Good luck!
