ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Our intention is to consolidate the role of volunteers in our organization, recognizing the enormous potential that comes with having them, thus creating spaces for volunteers to act and express themselves according to their abilities and interests. Thanks to their contributions, we aim to solidify our organization as a reference point in northern Spain for the inclusion of refugees and Ukrainian community. TASKS: – Support NGOs in managing European projects under Erasmus+ (training provided) and developing intellectual outputs (various topics). – Design and maintain a community garden. – Co-coordinate workshops focused on Permaculture, Entrepreneurship, SDGs and other EU topics. – Participate and giving language classes using informal methods. – Advocate for European values, including solidarity, environmental consciousness, and volunteerism. – Cultivate positive relationships with the local community. – Disseminate content across various social media. DURATION: 59 days

ACCOMMODATION, MEALS AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

We provide full equiped accommodation in the town of Sarón, with living spaces conveniently situated.The lodging is central and accessible, with a range of amenities including medical center, grocerystores, cinemas, post offices, sports facilities, pubs, and dining options, all of them close by. The ammenities where ESC volunteering takes place, has an on-site restaurant. We will provide a catering service where dietary options or restrictions will be taking into account.

TRAININGS: * Project Management Skills: Project Management Training, Erasmus+ Project Management Workshop * Community Development and Gardening: Community Development Workshop, Gardening and Sustainability, Permaculture Course * Artistic and Aesthetic Initiatives: Art and handycrafts in Community Spaces Workshop * Events Coordination and facilitation Workshop * Sustainable Development Goals Workshop * Communication and Social Media Management: Social Media workshops * Pre-departure Training given by the Sending Organization * On-Arrival Training given by the hosting organization

We search young individuals deeply passionate about ecological preservation and committed to wholesome living. Our ideal volunteers are not mere spectators but proactive initiators, contributing actively to ourcommunity and fully engaging withtheir responsibilities. A positive,forward-thinking mindset is fundamental at Permacultura Cantabria, complemented by a collaborative spirit, an openness tomulticultural communal experiences ,and a reliable, responsible nature. Adaptability, kindness, and awillingness to embrace both educational and hands-on activitiesare equally crucial traits.
