What is Youth Exchange? Let’s Learn Processes

Erasmus Youth Exchange is an international programme organised within the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union to raise awareness of European citizenship in young people and to help young people to adapt to society, to have different perspectives, to get rid of existing prejudices by meeting new cultures, places and people, to increase their personal awareness, in other words, to improve themselves in every sense.

Who can participate in the Youth Exchange?

– You do not need to be a student or a professional to participate in this programme.
– You do not need to be a member of the sending organisation or association.
– You do not need to know a foreign language, but it will help you even if your foreign language level is low.
– You must be between the ages of 13-30.

What is the duration of the Youth Exchange?

It lasts a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 21 days.

Which expenses are covered in the Youth Exchange?

Your visa, travel, food and accommodation expenses are covered during the programme.

What is the number of participants of the Youth Exchange?

There is a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 60 participants, excluding group leaders. Except for the group leaders, there are at least 4 participants in each group.

How to Apply for Youth Exchange?

– Firstly, you need to fill in the application form.
– Secondly, you need to prepare a CV in English in Europass (https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/documents/curriculum-vitae) format.
– You can then apply for any number of domestic and international projects.

What are the Selection Criteria for Youth Exchange?

Your motivation in the application form will be measured and you will be accepted to the project based on how relevant you are to the theme of the project.
