ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Why Participate?
Digital gaming is more than just entertainment — it’s a dynamic platform where young people can develop vital entrepreneurial (and other) competences. This seminar focuses on recognizing and cultivating these competences through gaming. We will explore how the EntreComp framework and other competence models can be applied to youth work, turning gaming into a powerful educational tool.
Objectives
Understand the digital gaming landscape: Explore the current state of digital gaming and its connections to entrepreneurial skill development.
Analyze the role of youth work: Discuss the importance of youth work in promoting game-based learning and its benefits.
Share success stories: Present case studies and inspiring examples that showcase effective strategies for developing entrepreneurial skills through digital gaming.
Address potential risks: Examine the potential downsides of digital gaming and identify strategies to mitigate these risks and promote healthy gaming habits.
Develop practical tools: Create resources that youth workers can easily implement in their daily work to support young people’s entrepreneurial skill development.
Facilitate networking: Establish connections and collaborations between participants, professionals, organizations, and youth workers in the digital gaming and youth work sectors.

Highlights of the Programme:
Day 1: Understand the impact of digital gaming on entrepreneurial skills and visit a local youth gaming unit.
Day 2: Discover methods to incorporate gaming into youth work, with hands-on workshops and group activities.
Day 3: Reflect, share feedback, and plan future actions to continue leveraging gaming for youth development.

Participation fee
This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.
Accommodation and food
Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.
Travel reimbursement
Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
