DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nParticipant Call for the Italy Training Course, which will take place for 4 days between 18-22 November 2024 in Rome!\n\n\n\n\nACTIVITY DESCRIPTION\nLearn How to Make REAL Youth Exchanges!\nLearn how to make youth exchanges like they are meant to be!  You will learn how to support young people to make their own projects, instead of making projects for them.\nFocus on ownership\nThe more young people are involved in the process, the more they learn trough their involvement. You can help young people to come up with the project idea, choose the topic for it and design the activities for its programme. They can run the activities themselves and plan dissemination activities that they organise for other young people.\nStar of Europe helps you to see how young people can be involved at every step – in every participating country!\nStep by step process\nThe youth exchange process is divided in 9 steps. You go through each of the steps and see what they are in practice. You will learn how the young participants can take an active role in each of the steps. You get tools for involving them and supporting their ownership.\nFor newcomers – and those who want to update their practices\nIf you have never organised a youth exchange before, you are the participant we are looking for. Also, if you are experienced, but interested in making your practices more participative, the training is good for you.\nYou must be working directly with young people, so that you can implement the learned skills to the work with them. This is not a training for an administrator or someone who writes applications alone in the office.\nYou will have to be at least 18 years old\nTake use of the digital material\nStar of Europe steps are also available in digital form at www.starofeurope.eu website. You can watch the short videos and use the existing materials.\nSmall steps for a better world\nIn our activities we support the principle of a safer space, where no one is discriminated or bullied because of their background or person. We want you to respect the same principle. We also strive to make the world a little bit greener. This is why we try to consume as little energy as possible in our everyday behaviors.\nMain Objectives\n– To become familiar with the whole logic of life cycle of a youth exchange project\n– To increase the understanding of the value of full involvement of young people in youth exchanges\n– To become aware of  learning opportunities of the young people within youth exchanges process\n– To pay extra attention to the equal partnership and encourage partners to plan, prepare, implement and report the project together\n– To get acquainted with a Star of Europe digital platform as a tool for support of youth exchanges\nACCOMMODATION, MEALS AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS\nParticipation fee\nThis project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.\nAccommodation and food\nItalian National Agency will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.\nTravel reimbursement\nPlease contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs.
