DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nParticipants are being sought for the Finland Seminar, which will take place for 3 days between 18-21 November 2024 in Helsinki!\n\n\n\n\nACTIVITY DESCRIPTION\nWhy Participate?\nDigital gaming is more than just entertainment — it’s a dynamic platform where young people can develop vital entrepreneurial (and other) competences. This seminar focuses on recognizing and cultivating these competences through gaming. We will explore how the EntreComp framework and other competence models can be applied to youth work, turning gaming into a powerful educational tool.\nObjectives\nUnderstand the digital gaming landscape: Explore the current state of digital gaming and its connections to entrepreneurial skill development.\nAnalyze the role of youth work: Discuss the importance of youth work in promoting game-based learning and its benefits.\nShare success stories: Present case studies and inspiring examples that showcase effective strategies for developing entrepreneurial skills through digital gaming.\nAddress potential risks: Examine the potential downsides of digital gaming and identify strategies to mitigate these risks and promote healthy gaming habits.\nDevelop practical tools: Create resources that youth workers can easily implement in their daily work to support young people’s entrepreneurial skill development.\nFacilitate networking: Establish connections and collaborations between participants, professionals, organizations, and youth workers in the digital gaming and youth work sectors.\nWhat to Expect?\nIn-Depth Sessions: Learn about the latest trends in digital gaming and their impact on entrepreneurial skills.\nExpert Insights: Gain valuable knowledge from professionals in gaming and youth work.\nPractical Workshops: Engage in brainstorming and planning sessions to integrate gaming into your youth work practices effectively.\nField Visit: Experience firsthand the practices of a gaming-oriented youth center.\nSharing Experiences: Share your own Experience and learn from others.\nHighlights of the Programme:\nDay 1: Understand the impact of digital gaming on entrepreneurial skills and visit a local youth gaming unit.\nDay 2: Discover methods to incorporate gaming into youth work, with hands-on workshops and group activities.\nDay 3: Reflect, share feedback, and plan future actions to continue leveraging gaming for youth development.\nACCOMMODATION, MEALS AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS\nParticipation fee\nThis project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.\nAccommodation and food\nUnless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.\nTravel reimbursement\nPlease contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs.
