SUMMARY:Short Term ESC Project In Croatia
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nParticipants are being sought for the Croatia short-term ESC Project, which will take place for 1month between 04/11/2024 – 01/12/2024 in Biograd na Moru!\n\n\n\n\nACTIVITY DESCRIPTION\nGet involved with the volunteer program through the restoration of the drystone walls of the largest olive grove in Dalmatia, the restoration of flooded meadows by clearing the areas overgrown by woody vegetation (shrubs) or replanting them where needed, picking invasive species or removing mowed material, and the maintenance of the wooden tourist infrastructure by painting it. Learn traditional knowledge, master the technique of drystone walling, and help enrich the cultural and biological diversity of the Nature Park Vransko jezero in Croatia, while informing the public (Park visitors) about volunteer activities by ocasionally creating short dissemination texts and photos or organising events in an education center.\nACCOMMODATION, MEALS AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS\nAll accommodation, food and public transport costs are covered by the Park. It is possible for volunteers to choose “green travel” options. Accommodation will be organised in Biograd na moru in shared bedrooms. Park will procure and deliver groceries for the volunteers. The volunteers will prepare cooked meals on their own in a shared kitchen. Transport will be organised for the volunteers from the accomodation to the location of volunteering in The Nature park Vransko lake.
